Lidering’s commitment to sustainability

Lidering’s commitment to integrating sustainability into its areas of work, together with its constant interest in wanting to be part of a responsible industry for a safer future, has earned it the EcoVadis Silver Medal, now reaping the rewards of the work and effort made to achieve one of our corporate purposes “Helping the industry build a sustainable future”.

One of Lidering’s goals, along with helping to create a fairer and more balanced world, is to align our business projects with social, environmental and economic sustainability. The main purpose of Lidering is to learn and spread our sustainable experiences with all collaborators and stakeholders, with the desire to promote a positive change in the world and in our society.

Now, after winning the EcoVadis Silver Medal, all this effort and commitment to sustainability has been rewarded and this recognition places us as the specialist in mechanical sealing solutions for industry with a high commitment and responsibility for the environment.

Lidering, obtains the EcoVadis Silver Medal

In the case of Lidering, EcoVadis has awarded it the Silver Medal, recognising the implementation of initiatives to reduce the consumption of natural resources, minimise waste and optimise energy efficiency in its operations.

We also highlight from this result how Lidering cares about the well-being of its employees and is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment. Furthermore, this EcoVadis award is a recognition of Lidering’s way of working, which takes care to promote diversity and equality at work, while promoting an ethical attitude towards the team, customers, suppliers and all other stakeholders.

What EcoVadis is and how to get the EcoVadis medal

EcoVadis is a leading sustainable business assessment platform that analyses and ranks companies through a global cloud-based software-as-a-service platform.

To earn the EcoVadis medal, a company must undergo EcoVadis’ comprehensive sustainability practices assessment process, and if the job is done well, it will score high enough in its final assessment questionnaire.

Thus, the operation and classification of this service consists of carrying out a complete analysis of the companies, the results of which are recorded on an evaluation form. The EcoVadis score is obtained through the following classification criteria:

1. Environment
2. Labour practice and human rights
3. Sustainability and responsible purchasing
4. Business ethics

Once the assessment has been completed, the percentage is summarized in a score sheet which shows the recognized sustainability aspects and improvement points of the companies and a final score is awarded.

The EcoVadis methodology is based on international sustainability standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) or the United Nations Global Compact, making it one of the most reliable sustainability recognitions in the world.
