Our visit to IFAT 2026: Innovation in sealing for a sustainable future

At the beginning of this month, Munich once again became the global epicenter of environmental technology by hosting IFAT 2026. For the Lidering team, this edition has marked a milestone in our journey, consolidating our position as a benchmark in mechanical sealing solutions for the water, biogas, and recycling sectors.

Day 1: Start-up and certified reliability

The trade started with incredible energy. From the very first hour, our international team received the first visitors interested in reliability and speed of response.

On this first day, we focused on the management of contaminated fluids. We presented our cartridges featuring special flush connections and spring-loaded designs with a ‘self-cleaning effect’, ideal for preventing blockages in environments containing fibres and particles. The conclusion of the day was clear: the sector is looking for solutions that reduce corrective maintenance.

Day 2: Customisation for critical environments

Day two was all about specialization. Many professionals visited our stand seeking solutions for desalination plants and grinders. We had the opportunity to give them an up-close look at our solid Tungsten Carbide seals and corrosion-resistant materials like Duplex and Super Duplex, engineered to withstand pressures of up to 100 bar.

Day 3: Extreme engineering for recycling

Wednesday was the day of technical innovation. The main focus was on our internal double metal bellows cartridge seal, a specialized solution for molten plastic recycling. Due to its ability to withstand up to +400 °C thanks to Grafoil gaskets, it sparked great technical debate on how to optimize processes in the sector’s most abrasive and high-temperature environments.

Day 4: Closing on a high note with Quenchy and industry leaders

We reached the final day of the event, and far from slowing down, it proved to be one of the most memorable days. We had the honour of welcoming leading pump manufacturers and industry leaders such as Allweiler, Habermann Aurum Pumpen and Vogel Pompes SA to our stand, all of whom showed great interest in how our sealing technology optimises their state-of-the-art equipment.

Additionally, it was Quenchy’s moment. Our mascot was a huge hit, and many visitors took him home as a souvenir, symbolizing the approachability and trust we aim to convey in every project.

Lidering staff members gathered at the booth during the closing day of the industrial event.

We return from IFAT 2026 with the satisfaction of having reconnected with the sector and our suitcases full of new projects. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our stand and shared your technical challenges with us.

Couldn’t stop by to see us? No worries! The technical team is back and ready to assist you with your next sealing system.

See you at IFAT 2028!
