Operations performed
- Cartridge dismantling and cleaning.
- Replacement of bearings and oil seal.
- Manufacture of graphite and stainless steel contact surfaces, adding estelite.
- Lapping of the original contact surface with alumina oxide.
- Repairing of the sleeve.
- Assembly of O-rings in FFKM on product side and FKM on atmospheric side. Testing of the static sealing with air at 3 bar/ 30 min.
Application
- Product: Concentration >40% of different chemicals (pH 1-13)
- Work pressure: 1.5 bar. Barrier fluid (glycol): 3.5 – 4.5 bar
- Temperature: 20-120 °C
- Speed: 80 rpm
Diagnosis
The cartridge shows signs of wear on graphite and steel contact surfaces, thus it is recommended to manufacture them again.
The sleeve displays friction marks.
