This anniversary was an opportunity to review our history, understand where we come from and reaffirm where we are going.
History of Lidering: 50 years of evolution
1975–1985 | The birth of Lidering
Lidering was founded in 1975, during a period of economic and industrial change in Spain. From the outset, the company committed to offering something different in the sealing systems market.
In 1984, it achieved its first key milestone: the incorporation of mechanical seals, laying the foundations for the technical profile that defines Lidering today.
1985–1994 | Differentiation and specialisation
With a decade of experience, Lidering took a step forward by incorporating its range of mechanical seals, achieving clear differentiation in the market and strengthening its technical positioning.
At this stage, the company began to develop its own brand and international focus.
1995–2004 | Internationalisation and consolidation
The creation of the International Sales Department marked the beginning of expansion into new markets such as Portugal, France, North Africa and South America.
In 1996, Lidering moved to its current headquarters in Cornellà, committing to growth, connectivity and a vision for the future.
2005–2014 | Expansion and identity
The strategy evolved from exporting to establishing a presence. In 2011, the Düsseldorf subsidiary was opened, which was key to the European market, and the company’s presence in Latin America was consolidated.
This stage also involved a corporate rebranding, aligning identity and international projection.
2015–2025 | In-house manufacturing and the future
In a global and highly competitive environment, Lidering takes a decisive step: committing to the in-house manufacture of mechanical seals.
Since 2018, the company has been strengthening its production and technical capacity, consolidating its position as a manufacturer of mechanical seals.
In 2025, Lidering celebrated its 50th anniversary with its sights set on the future.
