Da die Federn keinen Kontakt zum Medium haben, ist diese Gleitringdichtung ideal für die Anwendung mit partikelhaltigen Medien geeignet. Ein Blockieren oder Verstopfen der Gleitringdichtung wird vermieden.

Dank ihres Rahmens und der Konstruktion ist sie für Vakuumanwendungen geeignet, ohne dass ein Wellendichtring erforderlich ist. Sie kann sowohl in Einfachmontage, als Tandem (API52) oder Back-to-Back (API53) verwendet werden.

Der auf der Welle sitzende O-Ring erzeugt keinen Verschleiß auf der Wellenoberfläche, weil er keinen Axialbewegungen (Druckveränderungen) ausgesetzt ist. Genormte Gleitringdichtung nach EN 12756 (KU).
